If your instructor starts asking about mundane stuff, get ready for some action! By the end of my training, everytime my instructor started asking me about work, I started looking for his left hand to creep up to the throttle!
Awesome recovery, but you guys messed up You said “I Have controls – You have controls” but then the pilot with control should again say I have controls, and at that point actually takes over. At least that is how my books is teaching it. I cant wait only a few weeks until I’m done with the books and get to actually fly!
Been there, done that. The only thing missing in this type training is that in normal category aircraft, most pilots are not strapped in tight enough – unlike in the military and acro birds with 5 or six point harness, -so besides the surprise of the upset, the pilot has lost leverage on the stick, throttles and especially rudder, now hard to get full throw usually needed- You should make the student loosten their straps to sim that problem.(Been there, done that too. )

Excellent recovery!!!
Rolls to the right = you can barely see the right aileron move, can’t see the left aileron move at all.
