I can’t bench over 300 lbs, I do not train my muslces to take that kind of weight, it also is dangerous to max out so I don’t do it any more. But the most I have done is 265 lbs at 2 reps but now I always try to stay around the 10 rep range for safety reasons. I have learned not to workout for physique appearance alone, it is unhealthy and impractical, I simply try to get stronger, faster, more flexible with greater endurance & allow my body to look how it wants to look. Take care!
@FreddiesModernKungFu
That is freakishly insane. 235 x 10 is well over 300 pounds and for a 150 pound man… thats unbelievable. I would totally underestimate you just by looking at your physique in this video. Anyway congrats on your philosophies and videos. Im trying to learn more by watching your vids… and ill look more into planche and 90 degree pushups. Thanks!
That is very hard to say b/c perfect form can never get perfect enough. For example I can have perfect form but if I change the pace, meaning if I go super slow, then I would not be able to do that many. A better judgement is bench pressing I believe. I can bench 235 lbs for 10 reps and I weigh 150 lbs. Also if you look into planche pushups and 90 degree pushups, that is more of a better demo of real strength
wow ive never seen anyone do that many so fast. how many push-ups can you do in perfect form in 1 set?
That’s impressive for your age. Check out my playlists on Fitness Lessons Chest and Triceps. This will help you get stronger to build the muscles to do more pushups.
I can do 76 push ups a minute, I am 13!
However, 15% of them are not in perfect form.
Can u give me some tips to reach 100 push ups a minute?
You need to look closer and free your mind from jealousy, then you will see.
Thanks. I will certainly try different styles and speeds, as only doing proper form felt as though i wasn’t progressing much in terms of strength.
the group bartenders on youtube have many variations of push ups and pull ups
You are correct. That is proper form. But do not allow proper form to prevent you from working your muscles in different ways. There are many, many variations to the pushup, here is just one of them. Different paces, different hand positioning, explosiveness, etc. I have made many videos showing these variations, plus there is more out there. Try them all out, you will difinately be able to take your fitness to another level by doing different things.
I was always told that the military pushup was proper form? i.e. looking forward, getting your chest very close to the ground and extending your arms fully at the top. Is this way wrong? I have generally always done push-ups this way, and generally find them to be more difficult to do than the ones you have demonstrated. Any help would be great.
Well I’m 28, you still have many years ahead of you to train hard and improve, I hope that you will be one of those people that will continue to be in better shape throughout your entire life and that H.S. will not be your peak. I may be able to do more, but maybe you have better form, either way, train hard to try to do as many as you can with the best form that you can do while doing it the fast as you can. Take care thank you for the postive motivation.
my friend i can do 80 in a minute and im 17 but you my friend are an inspiration to me. no one i know can beat me in pressups in a minute lol now i have just witnessed you!
Proper form is very important, that is good, but I believe that if vary up your exercises and just forget about form, you can take your fitness to a higher level. This goes with all exercises, bicep curls, pull ups, sit ups etc. Do as many as you can with perfect form, when you can’t do anymore then do as many as you can without concentrating on form at all. There is slow twitched muscles and fast twitched, work both.
k my bad but its hard for me to go on working out with knowing that my form isn’t going to be perfect I like to be even I guess its just my habit
your left arm is more out then your right always best to keep as even as possible
