Evolution of Pullups

CLICK HERE for a FREE WORKOUT!! www.turbulencetraining.com Today I’m going to show you the evolution of pull-ups, going from a beginner style to the hardest kind you can do. If you are new to pull-ups and cant do any actual pull-ups, you want to start with an inverted row. You will be underneath a bar and rowing your chest up to the bar. It’s a great way to start. You can do a beginner version of inverted rows by bending your knees. Hold onto the bar with an overhand grip. Keep your hips up and pull your chest up to the bar. Squeeze your shoulder blades at the top. This will help strengthen the muscles between your shoulder blades, the back of your shoulders and your lats. Once you are a little stronger, you can straighten your legs out, switch to an underhand grip. This will work your biceps more. For underhand inverted rows, you will have more of a narrow grip and pull your chest to the bar. Next well switch back to an overhand grip and back to a wider grip. This is back to working the muscles at the back of the shoulder blades and between the shoulder blades. You can put your feet up on a stability ball to give you more of a challenge. Those are all inverted row variations to get you started. Next are assisted pull-ups and chin-ups. You need to take the bar of your squat rack and set it up about head height. You will be doing the pull-up and chin-up movement, but you will still be standing on the floor. This is for beginners as well. Simply work as much as possible …
Abdominal Exercises with TT AAA Abs Workout A

CLICK HERE for a FREE WORKOUT!! www.turbulencetrainingforabs.com Now that you are warmed up, you’re going to start this workout with a tri-set or a mini circuit. Move right into the maximum number of underhanded grip chin-ups in perfect form. With your palms facing toward you and your hands about shoulder width apart or slightly wider, pull yourself up so your chin is over the bar. Pull up and slowly back down. If you can’t do chin-ups, you can substitute these with underhand inverted rows or you can skip this one. For inverted rows, set your bar up and grip the bar with your palms facing back. Row your chest up to the bar and back down. Do the maximum amount of reps. Without rest, move immediately into push-ups. Again, you’ll do the maximum number of push-ups as you can for this. When you do these, you’ll probably only going to be able to do about 60-70% of your normal maximum push up number. Move immediately into dumbbell forward lunges, alternating sides. You can either do these in the same place or do walking lunges. Rest 1 minute and repeat this circuit 1 more time. This is a little bit of competition for your grip, so you won’t have great results in the second round, but after you’ve done this workout for a couple of weeks, you will see improvement with your performance with the second round, especially in the number of push-ups after doing the chin-ups. In the next superset you will start with dumbbell step-ups. Put one foot up onto a bench and pull yourself up by …
Gauntlet Workout C

CLICK HERE FOR A FREE WORKOUT! www.turbulencetraining.com This is the TT Gauntlet Workout C. This is the 5, 10, 15 program. There are 6 exercises in this workout. What you are going to do is go through 5 circuits of this program. The first time through, you are going to do 5 repetitions per exercise, the second time through will be 10 repetitions and the third time will be 15 repetitions. Next, you’ll go back to 10 repetitions and then finally, 5 repetitions. This is called a ladder pyramid style. The first exercise is a kettlebell snatch. You will start out doing 5 reps per side the first time through. In week 1, I recommend you only go through 5, 10 & 15 or even just 5 & 10. Always give yourself a nice easy workout in the first week of any program because you don’t want to be too sore. Swing the kettlebell back, drive up and punch. Switch hands and do 5 on the other side. Once you are done with those, move right into 5 vertical jumps. Hands are either in a prisoner hold, down at your sides or straight up. Next, move into T-pushups (5 on each side) alternating sides. You always want to do a warmup before you start, but the 5 reps is a good warmup in itself. We’re going to hit the upper body some more with regular chin-ups with an underhand grip. If you are in the 15 rep round and you can’t do them straight, you might just do them in chunks until you are at 15. Next move into prisoner forward lunges. Putyour hands up behind your head, step forward and drive back up. You …
Upper Body and Abs Workout

CLICK HERE for a FREE Workout!! www.turbulencetraining.com The thought of having to do an additional 20-30 minutes of abdominal work after a regular workout can sometimes be enough for you to skip the ab training altogether. But, with these six upper body exercises, you’ll gain all the benefits and more of a regular ab workout, without the extra time. This 15-minute upper body workout will not only build your arms, your chest, and your back, but every one of these exercises is also going to work your abdominals. So this workout will include as I mentioned 6 exercises, but they will be broken down into 3 supersets at 5 minutes each. So, the first superset will pair chin-ups with spiderman pushups. Now, just because these aren’t specific abdominal exercises don’t think your abs will walk away unscathed. I remember training a client before and a couple of days after doing the chinup exercise she commented how shocked she was that her abs were so sore. So, with proper form, the chin-up exercise can very powerfully target your abs. For proper form, begin in the dead hang position. Now, keeping your body tight, brace your abs and pull your body up and chin over the bar, then in a controlled fashion, lower your body down. You will noticeably feel this exercise working your lats and your biceps. Perform enough repetitions that take you until one short of failure. For example, if you can do 15 repetitions, then only do 14 and so on. After the chin-up exercise, you will move into …
Advanced 15 Minute Express Workout C

CLICK HERE FOR A FREE WORKOUT!www.turbulencetraining.com This is workout C from the Advanced TT 15 Minute Express Workout. We’re going to do all strength training exercises in this circuit and it will only take you about 3 to 3-1 minutes to get through it. You should be able to get it done about 4 or 5 times during the 15 minutes. Start out with a dumbbell split squat starting out with 30 seconds on one leg and then switch to other side. Move immediately into a dumbbell chest press (you’ll probably use a heavier weight than you did with the split squats). Press up and in and then down and out. You’ll probably get in about 10-12 reps for this. Start out more conservatively with these and use a weight you can do about 12 times because you will definitely tire out as you go along. Next, you will do 30 seconds of chin-ups with an underhanded grip. Move immediately into 30 seconds of stability ball jackknives with your feet on the ball, elbows on a bench and your body in a straight line. Tuckyour knees into your chest and back out. Finish with 30 seconds of dumbbell Romanian deadlifts. You can probably use the same weights you used for the chest press. Push your hips back, chest is out in a proud posture and stretch your hamstrings. Make sure you have your timer that goes off every 30 seconds to move you to the next exercise. Be conservative the first time through this circuit, take it easy and work your way up and then to really hard for the last 3 or 4 circuits and then you …
